At CGArc, the health and well-being of the members, staff, families/stakeholders and communities is our highest priority. As Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns mount, CGArc’s leadership continues to make decisions led by best practices from trusted sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization, Arizona Department of Health Services, and Governor Ducy’s “Stay home, Stay healthy, Stay connected” policy.  Here are a few measures we have taken across our program:

  • A temporary shut-down of our Day Services Programs effective Monday 3-23-20. This change has not come easily to us and we understand it does not come easily to anyone else involved; in light of the responsibility we have as a service organization during this critical global situation, we pledge to regularly evaluate this decision with an eye on re-opening the program to the people we support as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
  • For those people that we continue to support in CGArc’s Group Homes, trips outside the home are limited to areas with a low concentration of people, i.e., walks around the neighborhood, and other outdoor activities as weather permits.
  • Due to the current strain on medical facilities, routine medical procedures (physical exam, etc.), have been postponed
  • We have a comprehensive Coronavirus Response Plan, disinfecting schedules, controlled visitation & triage, and enhanced training for program members and personnel who support them

Although these are challenging times for all of us, we are confident that our programs will continue to be safe.  We will continue to monitor the situation daily and follow advice from the CDC and other health organizations in order to ensure everyone’s safety.

As always, we appreciate your business and advocacy and look forward to continuing to serve you.
