Fran Grossenbacher is the Director of Special Education for Gilbert Public Schools. Immediately prior to her current position, she was the Special Education Administrator overseeing preschool special education programs, motor therapy services, and services for deaf and hearing impaired students. Earlier, Fran was an Early Childhood Special Educator. In addition to her experience in special education, she worked with children and families in clinic and inpatient hospital settings for many years. She has extensive experience supporting children and families dealing with both chronic and life-threatening illness, with a special interest in the development of bereavement programs to support bereaved parents and children. In order to positively impact new educators, Fran frequently serves as faculty associate at Arizona State University, facilitating/teaching several courses in both the Early Childhood graduate program and the Masters with certification program.
